Privacy Policy

Last updated August 26, 2026

This is a plain-language template, not legal advice. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before you rely on it for a real commercial launch, especially if you plan to serve users in regions with specific data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, and similar).

1. What this covers

This policy explains what data SiteShore collects when you use the Service, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

2. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account information, handled by Clerk: your email address and authentication details.
  • Search activity: the locations and business types you search for.
  • Generated sites: the business data, AI-generated website content, and any edits or instructions you give while building a site.
  • Billing information: your plan and usage counts. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe; we don't receive or store them.

3. How we use it

We use this data to run the Service: authenticating you, running your searches, generating and storing your sites, enforcing plan limits, and processing payments. We don't sell your data.

4. Third-party services

Data you provide is shared with the third parties that make the Service work:

  • Google (Places API, Maps, and Gemini), to run searches and generate website content.
  • Clerk, to authenticate your account.
  • Stripe, to process subscription payments.
  • Firebase (Google Cloud), to store your account, usage, and generated-site data.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Published sites

If you publish a generated site, the business data and content in it become publicly accessible at the link you choose. Don't publish anything you don't want to be public.

6. Cookies and local storage

Clerk uses cookies to keep you signed in. The app also uses your browser's local and session storage for things like remembering a site in progress. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and site data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete the data associated with it, other than records we're required to keep for billing or legal reasons.

8. Your choices

You can review and edit the sites tied to your account at any time, unpublish a published site, or request that we delete your account and its data by contacting us below.

9. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
